Here comes a rather long description of something as simple as a plain dark gray t-shirt.

I was in New York about 10 years ago on a job with a photo shoot. I had brought far too few t-shirts and needed to go out quickly and have some work to do.

I walked down the small streets of Manhattan between Soho and Nolita to find something good. And there it was. A small shop with a few selected but delicious items. Their t-shirts were in a heavy wash and all without prints or names. It was eco-friendly and every stitch made sense. The t-shirt I got with me here is one of my favorite t-shirts and I have tried to find one that can replace it - as it is getting so worn out now that it can't do any more.
