Heavy denim jeans from Italian brand Chesapeakes (named after the American bay)

These denim jeans are the ultimate classic. The Chesapeakes Silverton jeans are made from a 15.5 oz selvedge denim from the Turkish mill ISKO and dyed in the traditional manner. The fabric has a rich texture and features a classic redline identity. As the jeans are washed once, they are comfortable from the first wear and appear more blue than silver compared to raw denim.

They have a silhouette inspired by 1940s and 1950s denim, delivering authentic vintage character and are fully stitched with tobacco-coloured thread.

Constructed with four buttons plus a top button in the fly, and the back pockets are reinforced with hidden rivets. The visible rivets are engraved with the four compass points. Redline selvedge is also visible on the coin/utility pocket, and the edges are chain-stitched in true old-school style. Inside the right pocket is a printed detail, while the waistband features a genuine leather patch stamped with Chesapeakes' motto: "Worth the wait."

Size and fit at the waist are true to general European brands. The length of all pairs is approx. 33 and there is room for cuffing on most. The model in the photo is 176 cm tall and will need to cuff them.

They are high-waisted and on the roomier side in the thigh with a slight taper (narrower at the hem)

Care:

These jeans are dyed in a deep, classic indigo. The color may initially transfer onto light textiles, furniture and shoes. This is normal. Transfer gradually decreases after the first washes and is a natural part of the authentic denim process that creates the beautiful contrast between the light and blue threads. We therefore recommend: Avoid contact with light textiles, especially when the jeans are new. Be aware of increased transfer with moisture and friction. If necessary, wash cold before wear with a mild detergent for dark colours. Wash separately or with darks and only inside out.
